The Italian attacking midfielder had various loan spells with reputable clubs like U.S Triestina and Catanzaro Calcio until his contract ended with U.C Sampdoria. Subsequently, D’Agostino had spells with other Italian lower division clubs including Teramo Calcio, Matera Calcio, Lupa Roma and Racing Fondi.
However, it was during the spell with his latest club, Taranto Calcio, that Stefano D’Agostino left his major impact in his career. Joining the Italian Serie D club in 2017, the former Sampdoria product played 73 matches scoring 41 goals along the way and was also named as club captain.
According to various reports in Italy, Stefano D’Agostino is reckoned as a naturally gifted talent with bags of quality and with a great vision of play.
