The Greens earned a point against the Paolites this afternoon at the National Stadium, for Floriana this was the third draw of the season.

The Paolites took the lead nine minutes from kick-off, it was Nanni who passed to Dunstan Vella with the latter passing the ball to Kristensen to give Hibernians an early lead. Floriana began to mount pressure on their opponents and had their first chance through a Diego Venancio free-kick following a foul on Keqi by Andrei Agius, the Brazilian’s set-piece was parried away by Jovicic. Brandon Paiber saw his chance punched away by the Hibernians custodian a few minutes later following a run on the right.

Floriana drew level before the break; it was Keqi who advanced through the Hibernians defence, passing the ball to Camenzuli who swiftly dribbled past the Hibernians defence before unleashing a powerful drive to notch the draw for the Greens. Following the break, Keqi saw his chance ending wide. Hibernians started to counter-attack Floriana, Mbong saw his chance parried away by Akpan. Floriana took the lead on the sixty-seventh minute following a Matias Garcia pass, Keqi was floored inside the area by Dunstan Vella, with Keqi sending Jovicic the wrong side to give Floriana the lead first time in the match. Hibernians notched their equaliser a few minutes later when Kristensen found Grech, with the latter’s powerful shot ended behind Akpan after hitting the crossbar.
