Interview with Brandon Paiber.

During this week of preparation for the game against Hibernians FC, FFC Media caught up with Brandon Paiber and asked him the following questions.

Brandon, the club acquired your services on a permanent long term deal last summer. A statement of faith and belief in your talent from Floriana F.C. What does this mean to you?

It is highly rewarding that the club showed interest in me back in January of this year and now that the club acquired me on a permanent contract it means that the first months I did well and Floriana F.C showed trust in me again.

Three goals in the last three matches including a brace last weekend and a string of excellent performances. Is a Maltese International call up one of your personal objectives?
Yes, thank God with the help of my teammates, I was able to score three goals in the last three games, including an assist against Senglea Athletic in the first goal scored from K.Keqi. Sincerely it is something that I have always wanted and I work for that every day! It is one of the dreams of my life to be in the Maltese national team.

Your comments about this year’s new coach Mister Enzo Potenza and the difference he’s made since his appointment.
He is a dedicated person including all the people that form part of the technical staff. They prepare even the minimum of details so that they give us all the tools to be best prepared for all the matches.

The team’s brilliant start of the season has injected new enthusiasm from the Floriana supporters. Do you genuinely believe this group and team has what it takes to compete for silverware until the end this season?
The truth is that we have an extraordinary group, all good players but above those excellent people that form a great atmosphere in the dressing room and day by day is reflected on the field of play, we go step by step, game by game and time will tell how far we can go.

A difficult match against Hibernians F.C awaits next weekend as we head to the final phase of the First Round. Is the team fully focused and prepares on the task ahead?
It’s going to be a tough game against a great rival! We are aware of that and who we are playing in this game. We are working hard and we are focused on what we have to do in this match.
