Vincenzo Potenza joins Floriana.
As mentioned earlier last week, Italian coach, Vincenzo Potenza joins Floriana, he has put pen to paper a one year deal during Wednesday evening at the Floriana Clubhouse, where he found members of the Floriana Supporters Club and Floriana club officials gave their official welcome to the Italian coach.
Vincenzo Potenza born in Naples, Italy, made a name for himself in recent months in the Maltese Premier League as he led Southern Club, Senglea Athletic F.C to a remarkable turnaround in the Second Round by retaining the Premier League status for a second consecutive season.
Potenza was labeled by all local media sections as the mastermind behind this impressive change in fortune for Senglea and in these days it was also announced that the Italian tactician was nominated for the MFA Best Coach Award for the 2018/19 Premier League season together with two fellow compatriots Stefano Sanderra (Hibernians) and Giovanni Tedesco (Hamrun Spartans)
In his first interview, coach Potenza said that when president Riccardo Gaucci contacted him, he felt honored that a club like Floriana approached him, he also mentioned the Floriana FC supporters in which he praised their support towards the club. Coach Potenza also said that he is prepared and committed to drive Floriana forward together with the backroom staff and everyone at Floriana, he also thanked Floriana FC president Riccardo Gaucci for believing in his abilities.
The Naples born Coach had also other experiences in the Italian lower divisions previous to his first experience in Malta namely with Real Albanova, Turris and Puteolana.
