Floriana FC 3 vs 3 Mosta FC.

Floriana and Mosta gather one point each as they end their second encounter of the season in a draw.

Mosta seemed to be heading for an easy victory as during the first half, especially in the first twenty minutes scored two goals.

The first goal came on the thirteenth minute when N’Guessan passed to Roach with the latter’s low drive beating Akpan to give Mosta an early lead. Mosta doubled their advantage a few minutes later when Imeri volley from outside the area gave the Greens custodian no chance to parry.

Floriana pulled one back on the thirty-seventh minute when off an Emerson Marcelina cross the ball met Kristian Keqi with the Italian beating Vella to give Floriana a lifeline before the break.

Following half time, Floriana started much better than the first half and starting piling on the Mosta defence, it was on the fifty-seventh minute when off a Paiber cross the ball met Arthur Oyama with the Brazilian header beating the Mosta custodian to restore equilibrium.

The Greens went ahead on the seventy-ninth minute when a shot by Brandon Paiber was destined to be parried, with the ball deflected by substitute Terence Vella with the ball beating Vella.

What seemed to be a Floriana victory, Mosta had other plans, in fact in the only Mosta attack during the second half  Mosta scored their third, it was James Brincat who picked up a loose ball inside the area and beat Akpan from the rebound.
