In a warm Saturday afternoon Floriana and Senglea share the one point each in a drab encounter.

For Floriana this draw didn’t mean anything except losing ground in securing a European place next season, with this draw Floriana’s hopes of getting European football next season have been minimized as Floriana now remain in the fifth place, For Senglea this draw gave a five point lead ahead of St Andrews and Tarxien.

Few chances of score were created during the game for both sides with play mostly involved in the half pitch with both sides sharing exchanges throughout the ninety minutes. Senglea nearly forged ahead after the break when Volpini’s free kick was parried away by Akpan, The Greens then had a chance through a Maurizio Vella corner with the ball meeting Pepe’s head with Farrugia’s parrying away the danger. Floriana had another chance through Maurizio Vella who’s powerful drive ended wide. On the fifty second minute Cabral had a chance following a pass from Nayar with the Brazilian striker effort ending wide at goal.  In the last minutes of the match Floriana had a chance through Cabral with the latter tried dribbling the Senglea defence which remained calm and cleared away the danger.
