Floriana beat Mosta!

Floriana FC 2 vs 0 Mosta FC

On the eve of St Publius feast, Floriana defeated Mosta at the Hibernians Stadium. This win will boost the Greens confidence ahead of the last game and as well for the upcoming FA Trophy semi finals (draws will be held at the end of this season).

Mosta started well in the first half with Njongo Priso with his chance being neutralized and cleared for a corner. On the eighteenth minute Floriana’s Varela had a golden opportunity in opening the score with the latter seeing his chance being cleared off the line by Ekani.

Ekani was once again Mosta’s hero when he cleared another shot by Mario Fontanella following a Nicolas Hernan Chiesa cross.

Floriana continued to attack whilst Mosta continued to defend well their rearguard against the tenacious Greens, Floriana’s efforts were duly rewarded on the seventy first minute when off an Andre’ Scicluna cross , the ball met Ryan Camenzuli with the latter beating Cini with a first time volley to give Floriana the lead.

Two minutes later Floriana scored their second when Mario Fontanella who received from Amadou Samb scored with a diagonal shot from the right.
